In the weekend Muzz brought us a bag of Apple Crisps each. Isnt he wonderful :)
I was busy so didnt open mine up right away. Billy did and was surprised to find a sachet in it. He thought it was like 2 minute noodles with flavouring included in the bag to pour over the noodles. So he of course opened it and poured it over the crisps and started eating. Although they do have Do Not Eat on the sachet Billy isnt really reading much yet. (He was ashamed about the fact that you would all know this however I think its important people know what happened). Shortly I opened my bag and thats when I discovered to our horror that the sachet in fact was a drying agent to keep the crisps crisp not to eat. Billy panicked a bit. Muzz and I were shocked as we are sure Billy wont have been the 1st child to do what he did. I dont think its right or even legal that something that isnt a food product should be in a bag that contains food. We rang the poisons centre and they said it was strange but looked up their data base and told us it would be ok.
This reassured us. However, we are not going to leave this matter alone. What happens if this happens to another child. We are going to fight this - its not right!!!

G Billy wasnt blamed. He just gets sensitive that people should know that he cant read. However, I felt people needed to know about this product.

Amy its being investigated by the aurthoritys now. Muzz had a contact and he put on us to the right people.

That is scary! I have never heard of that before. Can't imagine them putting it in crisps that kids would eat.

Yeah, we have that stuff in a lot of food. Yes, Cassie has eaten it (except her's was in a box with shoes). Poison Control said not to worry about it, since it was such a small amount.

Ang thats what they told us too but what if he'd eaten more of it.
