After a dismal week of virtually next to no walking last week I got back into it this week.

this week over 5 days I walk 3 hours 51 mins

One of the days I walked the perminator of what use to be a racecourse it was interesting you wouldnt know now theres heaps of roads and houses on the piece of land
Today I walked around a area my next door neighbour who has been walking a lot longer than I have has done she has done it before in an hour today I did it in 1 hour 5 mins and whats more I did it alone
Billy was next door playing
Daniel and Muzz had gone shopping
it was nice to watch the birds as I walked along and I was about to reallt reflect on how I am feeling
I like walking as it makes me feel good, strong and powerful
sometimes as i walk i think i cant walk another step but i do
walking is simple putting one foot in front of another
knowing that eventually you will get to where u are bound
before long i realise im feeling better again and from somewhere renewed strength to push ahead overcomes me
American Health says that "Regular exercise toughens the mind as well as the body."
I felt that way today. They go on to say "After working out three times a week for six months, one group [of people] was found to be 20% fitter. Bonus: they also scored 70% better in a test of complex decision making." So I guess that walking is making me more intelligent Ha Ha Ha

Have you heard this joke:- A retired couple decided that they should walk two miles a day to stay in shape. They chose to walk a mile out on a lonely country road so they would have no choice but to walk back. At the one-mile mark on their first venture, the man asked his wife, "Do you think you can make it back all right, or are you too tired?" "Oh, no," she said. "I'm not tired. I can make it fine." "Good," he replied. "I'll wait here. You go back, get the car and come get me."

In New Zealand it is the start of a 2 week school holiday I have some walks planned for Billy and I to do together and of course Daniel will come along too - he cruises in style
