when bad things happen in your life do u think of it as a discipline?

im sure that sometimes our children wonder why they get a spanking or yelled at for something, but many times they know that they are still loved. Sometimes those seemingly bad things that happen in your life are the Lord's discipline. Does it feel like love?
if I remember this verse it would. I often remember when I get over it and then I think how wonderful God is and how he is full of grace
